      Changes and bug fixing

      (December 17, 2008)Some minor modifications.
The words "MISSING" and "INVALID" can now be used in
conditions to indicate missing or invalid values of the variables.
Refer to the online help for instructions on use.

(May 17, 2008)Some minor imperfections have been fixed.
The programme is more oriented towards using Datasets in .CSV format, in order
to ease data exchange with EXCEL.

(March 15, 2008)Changed names and extensions of some files written by the
non-hiearchical clustering procedure (NONGER), so as to make easier
to load  them in EXCEL, ARCVIEW or ARCMAP.
Changed the format of the list of statistical units assigned to each
class, using for each the specific length of its name instead of using
the same length for all. In presence of some very long names, this
prevents a sparse aspect of the list.

(February 07, 2008)Fixed a bug on the interpretation of conditions concerning
categorial variables with alphabetic codes. Fixed some other minor
		things.

(January 27, 2008)Done some changes relative to the importing of files from EXCEL.
Fixed a bug concerning the calculation of correlation matrices having a
high number of missing values. See the help of the dialog relative to
		correlations.

(December 14, 2007)Fixed a minor bug that hindered the selection of a directory by
browsing (selecting by directly entering the name was still possible).

(October 20, 2007)Fixed a serious bug that halted the non-hierachical clustering
routine when the number of statistical units was higher than 65500 ca.

Fixed a bug in the computation of correlations for variables having missing
		values.
Added in the Settings menu the possibility to choose between a Winhelp
(.HLP) or a HTML (.CHM) help file. Winhelp help files are fully
satisfactory, and XP users can go on using them. Unfortunately, for some
reason known only to Microsoft, Winhelp is no longer supported in
Windows Vista, that accepts only HTML help files.
A grid is now used when prompting the user for the short names of variables or
categories in multivariate routines (PCA, Analysis of the Correspondences).

(April 20, 2007)Eliminated a meaningless warning message that sometimes appeared while carrying out an Analysis of the Correspondences on a
      table of categorial variables.

The message was harmless and had no effect on the analysis, but might
      confuse the user.

(February 12, 2007)The programme crashed when a data table submitted to an Analysis of the
Correspondences included a variable of type COUNT whose values were all
null, or a variable of type CATEGORIAL with at least one category of null
      frequency.

Fixed: now a warning is issued, and the execution continues ignoring the
null variables/categories. Anyway, as such variables make outputs
unnecessarily heavier, it is better to repeat the analysis after
      eliminating them.

(February 07, 2007)Fixed a bug that caused an erroneus PCS file to be written after using
the Show Quality button in a Factorial Analysis. The programme
appeared to continue well, but a 'Divide by Zero' diagnostics would appear
at the moment of displaying the curve of the objective function.

(February 05, 2007)Some more changes to the help files.

(January 22, 2007)Some changes to the help files.

(January 10, 2007)The conversion of file .TXT (tab-separated) or .CSV (comma-separated),
imported from EXCEL, has been made more general.

(January 3, 2007)Fixed a bug, related to the changes introduced yesterday. A crippled
version of the file .PCS was saved by factorial analyses, and the
clustering could not be carried out correctly.

(January 2, 2007)- now also files in format .CSV can be directly loaded.
 - also the weights of classes are written with the class profiles;
 - added a button to one of the dialogs relative to Factorial Analyses, to
command the displaying of the rate of Inertia of each variable summarized
by the factors requested for clustering.

(December 22, 2006)First multilingual version (still experimental). The preparation of the
English version was supported by the VAM (Vulnerability and Mapping) unit
      of the World Food Program.
At the time being, this version supports English and Italian. More
languages can be easily added if there is any interest. Choose File→Configure
from the Menu at runtime to change the language.
